Joy Okoye is a powerful minister of the gospel. She is a graduate of Charis Bible College (CBC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. While in the 3rd year ministry program at CBC, her ministry idea, God’s Heart International, (GHI) was one of eleven ministry ideas selected by the faculty and student body to be developed and launched.
Joy’s life of loving, ministering, teaching and giving demonstrates what Jesus is all about. Her ministry is a fresh new work without any prior baggage. People should be ready for a whole new experience with the Lord and with the supernatural benefits of flowing in the gifts. There are no old doctrines to break away from, instead people will enjoy the pure Gospel truth!
GHI has the potential to impact thousands of people around the world. Initially the focus will be the Anambra / Enugu District of Nigeria and then extend outward to other parts of Nigeria, Africa and to the globe – transforming lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Vision
To reach Nigeria and beyond with the love of Jesus Christ expressed in grace and faith, one person at a time.
Mission
Building relationships with the message of grace and faith through discipleship evangelism – signs and wonders following.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover…And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.” Mark 16:15-18,20
Values and Beliefs
GHI has five pillars that form the foundation of their values and beliefs; with the number five signifying grace. These pillars are:
Grace and Faith
This pillar is undergirded with prayer and having as its focus the cross of Jesus Christ. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
Integrity
This pillar’s strength is found in a policy of no compromise and holding truth in the highest place. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Matthew 5:37
Love
This pillar is the central pillar with five distinct aspects: no discrimination, peace, forgiveness, acceptance and joy. “Charity never faileth; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” I Corinthians 13:8
Hope
This pillar contains the inherent prospect of great expectation. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. 2 Corinthians 3:12
Servanthood
This underpinning pillar portrays a picture of helping hands. “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
