Most people, including Christians, do not truly understand the love God has for them and the identity they have in Christ. Joy Okoye has launched her ministry, God’s Heart International (GHI), with the vision of bringing the truth of God’s word to the people of Nigeria and beyond. God’s love and goodness are the centerpiece of her ministry. Her desire is to awaken people to who they are and what they have in Christ. As people begin to know and understand this reality, they will begin to live a victorious God-centered life, positively impacting those around them.
GHI has the potential of impacting thousands of people, initially in the Anambra / Enugu District of Nigeria and then extending out to other parts of Nigeria, Africa and to the world, transforming lives with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
GHI will reach people in a number of different ways, including the teaching and preaching of God’s grace, the ministry outreach of Andrew Wommack’s “Discipleship Evangelism” course, and ministry via local Bible studies plus street evangelism.
Joy has said that one of the most important aspects of her ministry is building relationships which she believes happens one person at a time. Her team will demonstrate God’s love and care while providing humanitarian aid and spiritual resources. At the same time, they will partner with local pastors and church leaders for the cause of Christ… discipling the unchurched and plugging them into good home churches in the area. Her hope is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry and to engage people in outreach evangelism.
